Holistic home birth midwifery care from preconception through extended postpartum
Welcome. I am Virginia, a Midwife in Austin, TX. I offer holistic home birth services and midwifery care from preconception through pregnancy, birth, and extended postpartum support.
I deeply know that we are part of nature, and that nature constantly invites us to remember who we are. The womb is a sacred vessel from which we bring life forth. Our bodies are amazing and resilient, and like nature, they are cyclical and constantly changing.
Pregnancy and postpartum magnify our capacity to change, as well as our built in healing intelligence. Your nervous system plays a central role in regulation, recovery, and balance.
In my practice, I honor your nature and your autonomy over your body. I hold deep reverence for your journey, and I hold space for an empowering birthing experience rooted in trust, informed choice, and individualized support.
My intention is to support you in nourishing your body, finding your plant allies, regulating your nervous system, and experiencing a transformative birth and postpartum season.

TRADITIONAL POSTPARTUM CARE DURING THE FIRST 8 WEEKS POSTPARTUM
Receive postpartum care that is curated around your needs — ideally unfolding over weekly visits in the first six weeks, with a Closing Ceremony at eight weeks to honor this transition. I bring both my clinical expertise as a Licensed Midwife and the nurturing presence of a traditional postpartum companion, weaving in nutrition, binding, baños, womb sobadas, and rebozo bodywork

CLOSING RITUAL
Using rebozos, closing the body, is a traditional practice for after a pregnancy and/or a somatic healing session for processing traumatic events or life-changing thresholds. It is a beautiful way to honor your transition into mothering.
ded postpartum care offers holistic herbal and nutritional support for up to two years, helping you restore energy, sleep, mood, digestion, and hormonal balance at whatever stage you're in

COMMUNITY SUSTAINED POSTPARTUM CARE
The best postpartum care does not begin after the birth. It begins when the people who love you know how to show up. This private 3-hour class brings your chosen support team together before baby arrives to learn how to protect your peace, nourish your recovery, and hold your family with intention. Ideally taken in the third trimester.
